What's the best kind of auger blades to buy

What kinds are good and where the best place to buy them from for a 10" Jiffy.

you can sharpen your used blade rather well with the correct know how. I use a belt sander with 100grit.Check the equipment section of this site.

I'm not sure if you can buy just blades but i just bought a new 8" auger for a tanaka from pokeys and it cuts unbelivable very impressed

the 10" jiffy stx has a complex set of blades, to replace the entire set, including ripper blades, starters and point is around 140$.  best place i would think is the hole.

take them into pokeys 10 bucks and they are good as new i take my 6 and 8 inch mora blades there at the beginning of the season and also take my 8 " jiffy model 30 blade into them once every two years they do a reall good job on them

I would definately try sharpening them first before shelling out for a new set of blades.  I run a Jiffy Stealth and I really like the ripper blades...I have been thinking of replacing the blades on my Mora hand auger with a serrated blades, if I can find ones that fit.

A little general upkeep never hurts.  I clean and dry my auger blades after a day on the lake...a little touch up with the file and a light coating of oil to keep the rust off.
