Holter Ice ??

Does anyone know what the ice is like on Holter ?

The word is 3 to 4 inch at Departure point, was going to go drill some holes today and if i do will let ya know what i find.

I drove up to take a look at the main lake on Saturday.

There were ice fisherman coming back from the Departure Point area but there was still open water down on the main lake near the dam so I would exercise extreme caution if you're thinking of going in that area.

I didn't drive up to Log Gulch or Departure Point so I won't guess on the thickness but saw several trucks come from that way so you should be good to go if you're planning on walking.

Thanks, i'm plannin on going up there this weekend. hopefully this warm weather doesnt affect the ice conditions too much

Just made a phone call and still is suppose to 4'', still it's been pretty warm. Anyone know any different? Going tomorrw and don't want to make a wasted trip. Thank you.
