Hey guys after 9 years in the south I'm headed north again. I grew up in western MN, joined the air force after HS and have spent the last 9 years in arkansas, I've got orders to Rapid City. We'll be there before the new year, I'm excited to get out on some ice and catch some fish again..

Yep, welcome aboard and to SD. I just got back from whackin em up by Custer, SD. Brought home 11 nice crappies and 6 good perch. Only out 4 hrs.

The Walleye fishing over here isn't that great. Sometimes you can get into them for a week or two but don't look for it to be like MN.

well fish of choice would be Walley but perch, crappie, sunny's and bluegills eat pretty good too!

You're in luck! I'm off from Christmas till after the New Year. PM me and I will send you my home and work #s. I work days starting Monday for 12 hrs. You can call my work cell all day long. If you want to get out one day during my time off let me know. I plan on taking the boys out. I have enough equipment if you don't have yours here.

Rich when are you gonna get out and drill some holes? When did you move back to the line?

Went out to the line a few weeks ago...

Hope to get out early Jan... I don't see any ice fishing in my future before then!

same goes for me, I have enough stuff to gear up a couple people other than myself too! Can't wait. I haven't been fishing since Last winter!

I'm Mike Super on Days. BTW one of your co-workers Ice fishes as well. When you get to your shop ask the only Tech there about icefishing. I was talking to him 2 days ago and asked when you were going to get there and that you like ice-fishing. His ears sure perked up! When do you report to work? I'll drop in and introduce myself.
