Sorry tom it's to late in the day to start driving and theres no way i'm leaving the ice today !
SKIPPER & CO. Although I am 1000 + miles away from the show. I am enjoying the posts, pics, and comments that have been posted. ALMOST, like being there,--- I said, almost. As for Hard Ice's post about not being able to get off the ice,to attend ,I now know why he didn't pick me up to go there. good report from the show.
Skipper-Two Fish Tommy, Thank you for the daily reports, photographs and being our information collectors on the various products and companies represented at the show. I was surprised to see long time Ice Shanty sponsor Fish 307 at the show. They must feel it will reap them on-line sales in the mid west. Back on page 1 or 2 of this thread some one asked if you could try one of Jiffy's new augers to see how easy they start ,etc. the answer was not possible. I have a suggestion the shows organizer should have a fenced in area outside the building so it would be possible to start up augers. I do not own a gas power auger but assume they operate similar to a snow blower ,you can start the engine but not engage the actual drill until depressing /pulling a switch of some type. Keep up the good work and do not forget to do a little brosing/shopping of your own. Steve
Skipper & Tom, Thanks for the updates, could not make the trip, had some Grandpa duties. Went out this Am and checked out the ice. We will be out next weekend for sure. Well got to get to work on the Honey Dew List! Hope you Guys get home in time for the game tonight. Have fun .... Mike
I just want to say I love all the coverage from the show.. You guys did a GREAT job. Cant wait till next weekend... Thank you so much..
I sure hope the Syracuse show has a good turn out so they keep coming back.
Any new or different plastics out there for this year??
we did test them if you look in the equipment section skipper did a review
Just for future planning, did you guys notice people selling out of anything? I know you said last year that some great deals happen on Sunday because nobody wants to haul stuff back. Is there slim pickins on Sunday, or do booths still look stocked?
If you guys get a chance, post some last minute deals just so guys know of what they can get just by going to the show. Man, I had a blast today putting up a new door & hanging Christmas lights! I'm so glad I couldn't go!
