Caught one like that twice in the spring once on the fly rod. Got him in and i was like what the hell is this? Threw him back and a few casts later caught the same smashed faced one...unless there were two of them like that swimmin around. Weird ???

I'm glad you posted pics, on wednesday I caught one that looked exactly the same, and later in the day I believe I caught the same fish again in a slightly different spot. I had never seen one like that either.

We had 4-6" at the location where we were at. Won't be long till Jackson Lake will be fishable.

way to get out there, men!  the 'deformed' rainbow looks like a clear case of getting caught in the nose by a nasty hook and sustaining enough damage to come away deformed.
