Snowy range mountain lakes
« on: Nov 20, 2009, 09:56 PM »
I was just wondering about the ice up there and to see if anyone has had any luck? I have heard that lake Owen has ice to fish on. :icefish:

I haven't heard anything about the ice but at some point they close the gate to the road and you have to have a snowmobile to get in. I drove my car up there last year and barely made it to the lake in November but there wasn't enough ice. I would definitely get some information before you drive up.

Hey Big Must I should have your deer done pretty soon. There is 10 inch on the majority of Lake Owen with some bad spots accessabile by snow machine only. Meeboor had 3 inch on friday fished three hours did not even see a fish, forgot bait though first trip blunder. The vegetation was all but nonexistant and the water was clear as glass. ??? Be ready Hattie is only days away from fishing ;D
