first golden today

thanks guys for the info on gettin the goldens, got my fisrt today at a small local pond. 5 inches but real fat. left the trap in for bout 5 hours in the day going to put it out saturday night to see how well i do, but now i know they are there just got to find the right spot. thanks again to all whom gave me tips by posts or pm's.

Awesome! I have a ball trapping and jigging bait. What are you using for a trap?

thanks blaine, right now i have my fathers old cylinder shaped trap 2 holes. it is a basic trap but i modified the holes a little. i was the one that asked about the outback 6067 but it had been sold so my wife came by to get the hideout 6010. i have yet to see it til monday cause it is my birthday present from her and our parents. thanks for the great deals. now can anyone help me in posting pictures i want to try to post some of the goldens ive been getting.

Upload the pic to a photo site ( Like Photobucket) Copy the URL and come back here and hit the button that is second row second in. In the middle insert the URL you copyed. And you should have pic. If you use Photobucket they like to put things at the end that dont belong.It starts with a ? mark. Hope this helps. :tipup:

got two more this morning but when i got there they were on the surface everywhere so i put fresh bait in it and put it right in the middle of them all checkin it on tuesday morning i'll post my results. oh ya the ones todat about 3 inchs real nice. ::)

best catch today three 4 inch goldies after  i had a huge crawfish yesterday like 4 -4 1/2 inches long

had bread and dry catfood in the trap but i put wet catfood in today gonna check thursday mornin see if i get more

took some tinsnips and cut a few spots and bent the metal back so it wouldn't be to jagged, made the hole about a inch wider. it works ok i have now got about a dozen 4 to 6 inch goldens
