This is some big time ice making MOJO right here! I usually buy a pail after thanksgiving to satisfy the ice gods, but this year I started early. The weather is making me nervous, I figured I better get out the big luck guns!

Day herring is the best stuff on earth! That stuff they call pickled herring in the grocrey store isnt worth cat food. You can only get the stuff around here, the town they make it in is so small they dont even mark it on the maps. They make the lutefisk too, now that stuff is putrid. MMMMM.... translucent fish jello.

If you are ever in the MN or WI area and see Day pickled herring, buy it up! It is sooooooo gooooood, and it makes the lakes freeze. ;D

I guess my superstition would be..."Don't stick your head down a hole if you don't think you can pull it back out"...or don't stick your head any where that you don't think you can get it back out of...although I'm accused buy my friends of having my head stuck in a certain part of my anatomy from time to time.. ;D ;D
WK
Give your son a fish, and he will eat for a day.....teach your son to fish and eventually he'll end up kicking your @ss every time you fish together!!!

I don't know if UPS will ship pickled herring. It is usually against their policy to ship hazardous chemicals. ;D

I call it the law of screwing.

If/when you have to do something....like pee, change a 1lb propane tank, take off a coat, or something else you will always get the most important bite of the day.

Never ever ever ever use dead bait.

Always throw a couple crappie nibbles down the hole for scent.
