Clam Corp closeouts
« on: Oct 15, 2009, 07:24 PM »
For those looking for some sweet deals on clothing go to the clam website and check out the closeout section. They have some ice armour suits on for $99 and some fleece jackets on for $10.

I don't think They have the best size selection left but. Chech it out

I'm 5'7", 145 lbs, wear 30/30 jeans.  Would a medium fit me or would it be small or big?

Got the Check out to work! An Ice suit was number one on the things I wanted this year and I can't believe I am scoring a X suit for $99.

It fits great. This is the nicest winter gear I have ever owned. I know now I will not have a cold day ever again on the ice. I love all the options they have in this suit as far as pockets and cinch straps.
I think if you go by Clams sizing chart and it should fit you It probably will. If I had an extra $99 to spend I'd by another just in case the day ever comes that I wear this one out. ;D

Not that big of a deal. I sold my blue suit in the spring because I wanted warmer on the coldest days. I was planning on the strikemaster suit so thats what I'll buy. Would have saved some cash though with this deal.

Pants fit great, a little big like I wanted them to be so I can use them for 2-3 years.  The jacket is much bigger than I expected.  I can use that for a while.  Would never trade it back for the price I got if for though.  I have the inner liner that with out the outside fits great and will take both that and my old jacket on trips incase one of the days it rains for some reason.

Did you cinch up the waiste on the jacket? I did on mine to make it breeze proof.

I think the jacket is suppose to be large, it is a shell, to be worn over a fleece or other jacket. It keep the wet and rain out, but it is not meant to keep you super warm

Oh This jacket is meant to keep you super warm. The zip out layer is actually another jacket, with its own seperate pockets. I can see wearing lite long sleeve shirt under this till it gets to zero. All the research I found the only conplaints was it was too warm. And getting in and out of it, but I guess those guys don't know how to dress themselves.

Man I am pissed!! I checked the Clam site for closeout specials every month after the ice season ended earlier this year.  I thought, if they would have a closeout it would be in March/April/May.  Now I see I mISSED the darn boat.

I have a nice hunting jacket, but wanted bibs with the padded/waterproof knees since my insulated Carharts with 50 applications of waterproofing spray still get wet and uncomfortable.

oh well!
