We probably will have a good 8 or 9 inches by February. At that point I might as well leave the ice gator at home because it will be rendered useless for any more than 5 holes.

Egg beater thingie?? ???  There may be an outside outlet somewhere on the bldg...but then that would be robbin electricty from God....fishin may not be so good that day. ::)

Isn't Highpoint lake one of the highest over here in the southwestern part of the state??  That and some lakes around Donegal should feeze up first around here.

High Point is the highest point in PA. I keep checking the thread for High Point but no reports on Ice yet. Just a tad to far to drive just to check the ice for me. SO I'll patiently await the reports.... ;D

Feeze ;)   It is a long way...reports are few and far betwen...but High Point is pretty remote....access is also very limited.  I would also have to do a lot of time scouting to find out where to fish what to use..etc... I guess that is where it would be good to hook up with a local.  I do love the area though.

       I love clear ice like that!!!   You can watch the fish swim around that you have hooked!! It is soooooo cool!!!!    Wish I could find some.   Both times ice almost ready to fish locally, it warms up then snows.  Not a good combination!!!   At least you can have some fun.  :)
