Mystery Trout
« on: Apr 08, 2009, 11:07 PM »
Here is a picture of a trout that was caught in a lake in Canida. It looks like a lake trout that has an odd skin color and pattern. There is an article about it on www.laketrout.org/tiger-trout.htm. Check it out it is interesting.

Can't be a tiger trout, they do not have a deeply forked tail (compare it to the lake trout in the pic, they both have the forked tail).

Could be an odd hybrid between laker and brookie, but brookies have the dark band on their fins next to the white band.  I bet it is a uniquely patterned lake trout...Very cool looking whatever it is!

Morphed splake with upper pattern continuing on past mid-line of body instead of becoming more dotted below? Thanks for posting the pic. Don
