Accessible lakes near La Ronge
« on: Mar 15, 2009, 07:55 PM »
I am heading up to La Ronge with a couple of buddies March 28-31. I have fished Mullock and Lussier in fall with good success on Mullock. Has anyone been out recently, and if so, how was the fishing? Can Junction Lake still be accessed by a vehicle and how has the fishing been?
Does anyone know any other lakes that are accessible without a snowmobile around La Ronge?
Thanks for the help!!!

have friends at missinipe at otter lake. 4' of snow. any travel on any lake is by snowmobile and even so some lakes have flood water which makes it a very tough go especially if you are pulling a sleigh.

I have pretty good luck on the bend of the montreal river in laronge. turn west at the mohawk gas station to the dead end go north till just before the curve.  there is a trail there(goes for about 50 yards) that leads out to the first bend. 30 feet off shore is about 12 feet of water. have caught pike walleye perch and burbot there.  good luck hope this helps.
