Hardwater Nut!
Slush and Snow

This weekend had 20 inches of ice but covered by 4 inches of slush and a foot of snow. My 4wd pickup barely got through and some didn't. The problem is I hate to set my tip ups in 2 inches of water at the hole which is what you get when you shovel the snow and slush off. If you don't the tip up sets to high or wobbles on snow. I have tried to block them up with chunks of 2x4 but to unstable. Any ideas as usually just end up with BeaverDam setting on ice in 2 inches of water.

Good thing about prisons- they reduce the potential number of fisherman on the ice!
