the reason i bought the scandic was for the low range, i can poke along and dont have to break stuff.

2x12 blocked up.. then put on to give more clearance.. makes the step to get in a little high but o-well..

That Alpine is the coolest sled I have ever seen in my life. It sucks that they are impossible to find in one piece today. They look like they could pull a house clean off its foundation.

that's what you get when you have 3 boys ages 10-14&15 and a few unattended hand tools!!! Icould fill a 10 wheel dump with inventions that didn't work out the way they planned. better than video games i think though.

Not sure on the weight but 3 guys could lift it without too much trouble.as long ya wer'nt carrying it too far.floor is 2x6 framed, used 3/4 plywood on the floor, and 2x3 for the walls and rafters.1/4 inch sheathing (had to buy that) and a few old storm windows from a dumpster.think i have about $75 in the thing its all rough sawn pine left over from the camp.one of my boys is in welding in voc/tech high school so he made a wood stove. used 4x6 for skids and i drag it all over pickeralville usually full of gear, momma and her friends if its cold out.
