Derby Date :   Saturday Jan. 31, 2009    (Alternate date : Saturday Feb. 7, 2009)

Time  :  7:00 AM thru 2:00 PM
Sign In : 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM ( You must contact Shawn to sign in to enter an entry and to be in drawings)
Sign up deadline :  Thursday Jan. 29, 2009  9:00 PM
            You must be a registered member by the sign up dead line.
                      Children don’t have to be registered members.

Location :  Lake Aeroflex ....
Directions : Interstate 80 to Exit 25.
                         Follow Route 206 North for 7 miles to Limecrest Rd. (Exxon Station / Dunkin Donuts) (County Route 669).
                         Right on Limecrest Road.
                         Follow Limecrest Road for 1 mile to the park entrance on the left.
                 

Eligible :  Team IceShanty Members .......... children don't have to be members

Prizes :  1st, 2nd and 3rd place prizes as well as give aways. The prizes will be given out at another location off the park property.
               
               If for any reason there are no entries in a category or the places aren't filled I will add those items to a
               drawing at the end.

               



If you have an FRS radio bring it. To make things easier Shawn and I will bring an FRS radio and have it set on Channel 8. This way you can call us to ask and we can give an up to date category size. This will also aid in calling us to come to you to verify the entry.

Rules


1  You must be a Team IceShanty member and signed up (sign up closes Thursday Jan. 29, 2009  9:00 PM) .

2  You must have a valid NJ fishing license and follow all regulations.

3   The entry is by length ... not weight or girth. We will follow the online tourney rule of as the fish lays ...
       not squeezing the tail.       

4   You must contact us to come to you to verify and measure your entry during the posted derby hours.
      

5    No garbage is to be left out on the ice or in the parking lots ... if you bring it .. you dispose of it.


6    This will be a walk on derby ... no four wheelers or snowmobiles. 


7    You must park in the state park parking lot.


8     You must be present for the handing out of prizes .. if not they will go into a drawing.

This is meant to be a get together to have fun and any prizes are just a bonus. 

   

Ice safety: The determination of the safe condition of lake ice is the user’s sole responsibility. Any injuries, etc. are also the user's sole responsibility. By signing up and coming you agree to this.

We had a really good turn out at the derby and I wanted to thank every one for coming !

I was thinking of doing another "get together" since we missed out on a few seasons. It would be for bragging rights only .. no prizes. No signing up .. just showing up. If any one is interested lets hear from you so we can get things started.

also i think its a good idea to have another one this year, even if we just have a get together for braging rights with no prizes would be fine too. im sure more people think the same

As of now I was thinking the 3rd week of February.   If everyone enjoyed Aeroflex I was thinking do it there again.

i think thats the weekend of yojs is haveing their derby whic is ok was going to fish it possiblely anyway if so we can all fish the same area
so we can hang together

I made a few changes to the get together. It will be a get together only .. no measuring station or tourney. It will be the same weekend as YOJ's tournament .. maybe Team NJ can make a good showing in it !
