New Fork, Boulder, Fremont and Fontenelle
« on: Jan 15, 2009, 06:18 PM »
My Pinedale fishing buddy, Leon, just called. He said New Fork and Boulder, you have to snowmachine in  to both but New Fork has 8-12 inches good ice,  Boulder has good ice and the fishing has been good in both. Upside of the trips he's made to Fontenelle, they've caught good size ling, downside, their bellys are full of bass fry or other small gamefish.   :'(    He said what ice that's on Fremont isn't worth the risk at the lower boat dock upwards, but a guy can snowmachine up to the upper boat dock and get onto pretty good ice. ;D

Went to Fontenelle yesterday. Slow !!!!!!  Caught a bow and  a ling. I will post photos later.
Talked to a couple of guys from Green River. They were fishing Fontenelle do to the lack of ice on the Gorge. They caught a few bows and left early afternoon.
The strange thing is we were fishing where the Browns usually hang out. None to be found. I wonder if the ling are having an effect on the browns or is it just a coincidence
It was still good to get out there and had some friends from out of town that went as well  ;)
