slow weekend
« on: Jan 19, 2009, 04:27 AM »
Judging by the lack of reports and photos I assume this was a slow weekend for most who fished.Massabesic was dead only a couple perch. No water flowing at my little inlets(frozen). Most flags were hit and spit.Maybe the fish were cold too.Fishing calender said lousy if you beileve in that at all.I thought they might feed before the storm.Anybody do well this weekend anyplace.

Saturday was slow for us on Cobett 2 pickrel 2 perch. Sunday on Big Island we couldn't even set up, I love when its snowing no matter hunting, fishing, what ever it sparks a fire in me. But Satuday was nice didn't bring the camera but I snaped a few pic at home to post, at the end of the day we had 10 perch, 6 or 8 pickrel and 1 sunfish. Not a single bass and we usually pull em out from our spot. I grabed a flag pulled up a hawge of a perch and as I reset it its going down and I'm like thats moving to fast so I set it and pulled another big perch up. Thats whne I jigged the hole for the sun fish and 2 more perch. My dad didnt make it out he was sick but felt better last night but I wan ted to hang with the boy and the wife said she was brining him to her mothers. SO I said my dad really wanted to fish and she said ok, I really think shes got a man on the side, she never let me fish (or do what I want) for 3 days in a row. SO here it is sunday going for the trifector.

Went out saturday on winnisquam.  It was freezing :o when I got there around 6:00.  I think -15.  When all was said and done it warmed up around 10:00 or so and fishing picked up a little bit.  Between myself and another person we ended up pulling through about a dozen lakers.  Nothing huge, but still a fun day.

strictly business found the fishing as slow as it has been in years.......saturday at swains was the slowest........i found some nice water in the 10 to 25 foot range......landed a couple of bass and i knew they were there, but couldn't get them to bite......sunday's snowstorm shut things off, but when it did finally stop the flags starting popping.....the only problem was that the line didn't even move of the bottom......today was the best of the days, but romping through a foot and half of snow with the quad and by foot made the fishing more difficult.....todays highlight was a 4 lb 12 ounce bass
when chuck norris played golf for money, chuck marked down a hole in zero every time, the golf pro said, "chuck: you can't score zero on a hole." Chuck norris turned towards the man and said, "I'm chuck norris, the man proceeded to pour gas over his body and set himself on fire because that would be less painful than getting roundhouse kicked by chuck norris....chuck norris roundhouse kicked him in the face anyways

caught one 17" bow. Nice male with awesome colors. Had three flags in 45 minutes then nothing. Fished for three hours. Boy was the snow thick in the air and deep on the ice.
