If you are looking to get out prior to Thursday, I would say Crowell or even Norcross would allow you to have some fun on stocked brookies.  If you are waiting till the 1st, might as well go for Flying and a chance at some carry over brookies and brownies, IMO.  Good luck with your decision.

Crowell pond is good early for taking stocked brookies.  Worst case scene there are some 2 foot plus pickerel in there.  The biggesr chub I have ever seen was laying on the ice there last march.

A bunch of us used to fish Crowell when we were up at school at Farmington. Yeah, we had some luck with the early season brookies, but I used to have more fun jigging the pickerel, bass, and HUGE fallfish out of there. Used to have nonstop action. Now I wanna get back there guys...thanks a lot...lol ;D
