Im afraid your friend is going to have to wait a bit more. We were out there on the ice yesterday but we has to take alot of precautions to get 100 feet from shore. There is only 2 inches and it varies in thickness. Give it another wek or so, getting close thou.. Sorry about the dog..

We just left petes and i can guarantee that there is nobody going out on it. The weight of the snow has broken the ice. Again we have to wait. At least SN and i got one night.

Pete figures the ice is ready but too cold to haul his hut onto the ice. He is trying to put a face onto the handle Salmoncandy. He wants to know if anybody has drilled holes lately and the thickness of the ice. He fell in last year and has got the twitch -24 c were he is today

well there is a solid 8 inches in places and 10 in others. but there are still soft spots like the one your friend fell into twice lat year. Id just play with out the quad for a couple more weeks to be sfe , but definatly awesome for fishin. Tell your friend that salmoncandy was one of the guys using the magic electonics to catch fish he will remember.
