Luke had as much swagger as John Wayne and was happy to tell you about it. Considering he was 4 years old, to hear him talk, he had done it all.
We were on the ice behind our house and luke's mom had dropped him off with us men to ice fish for the first time. Well Luke was telling us of all the trophy fish he had hauled in and was not shy on the details of his record catches.
My buddy "BVD" was jigging. As we listened to Luke BVD got a 9" perch on and iced it. Luke was in the middle of an exploit, but stopped mid-word when he saw the fish. He moved so fast for the shore, I thought he broke the sound barrier, cause it seemed that his words were still in the air when he was no longer there.
He never stopped until he got back to the house with mom.
Later that night we all enjoyed a good laugh as luke gave us his spin on how he barley escaped with his life.
