Georgetown Lake still looked good, otherwise I don't know if I'd hit anything around Helena.

IF,

I fished Fresno on Monday of this week and the ice was deteriating pretty fast.  Based on the temps last week, if they stayed the same I would not go back.  Since it has cooled down a bit and Bever Creek has a little higher elev. it may be safe but without a current report I woulden't drive up there to maybe find unsafe ice.  Sorry I couldn't give a more recent report.   Ding

Anyone been to the Helena Holding Reservoir since this last weekend?  The ice was still good last Sunday 3/2/08 about 12" and the salmon were biting.  Thinking of giving it one more spin this weekend.

I was also thinking of giving the Holding Res one more shot or we may head to Hyalite.
Any body been over to Nevada Cr lately??

icechick, Hyalite is nice. I was up there again today for a short trip by the parking lot you will here water running like a little creek just off that drops off fast just off the bottom on crawler pieces lots of small cutts beautiful fish but not so strong VERY LIGHT Take use fine line one b and a small hook....I was moving around looking for bigger fish. Man is it beautiful up there.
I can't make it this weekend...perhaps for a bit on sunday.
Hey I saw a picture of you with a cF rainbow. My big Bows from CF all had same king of tails whats up with that?

It looks like we will probably not make it down there this weekend. It looks like our season is over and it is not time to get out the fly rods.

I am not sure what is with the tails alot of them are like that though.

A fishing buddy here said he was on canyon ferry tuesday by the silos and there were still people driving on the ice.  thought i might check it out.

anybody go to canyon ferry today. Was hoping to fish the silos sunday. Wanted to know how much ice was still there.
