My Dad fished (Burt) for 6 hours and didnt get a bite. He said it looked like he was the only one out on his side of the lake. He heard that most of the people in the area are fishing Mullet. He said there is lot of snow on the ice.

Fished Burt (Maple Bay) all afternoon on Sunday with only 3 good perch to show for my efforts (tossed back maybe a dozen dinks).  Lots of guys out there but nobody with a heavy bucket. It's been a slow week.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.

Myself and another person were out on burt Tuesday, 1 perch, 4 rock bass.  First time in 5 years of fishing that lake that I have caught rock bass ???.  Got reports from 4 other fishermen coming off the ice and the reports were not good.

I wonder if the guy that named it Mullet Lake actually named it that because he really hated that lake.  ???

I fish Mullett on soft water two weeks in June and two weeks in Sept. and I have sometimes called the lake by names I can't put into print.
