Fish Trap Guide Cover
« on: Feb 02, 2008, 08:14 PM »
I’m looking for a travel cover for a Fish Trap Guide. I’ve called or visited the following and they are out:
Clam Corporation
The bobbershopfishing
Reeds
Redrock Store
Thorne Bros
Kittery Trading Post
Franks
BPS
Gander Mountain
Cabelas
Spectacular Sports
Dick Smiths

I am waiting for a response from Natural Strike Marine Equipment. I have searched Craig’s List and Ebay. I am drawing the line at calling Canadian stores.

Anybody have a lead on one of these elusive critters? I might just have to get the wife to make one.

Looks like the Guide is a pretty popular shelter.  You might have luck on the following sites,
www.marinegeneral.com
www.franksgreatoutdoor s.com - They have the cover for the x but I believe it will fit the Guide.

Found one through a member of another site I visit.  He must have gotten it on sale or Cabelas was selling them for less than the Ebay guy as he is asking a little less than that.  That Ebay add must have been just posted not too long ago as I looked on both Ebay and Craigslist.  I do know someone else looking though and I'll let him know.  Thanks.

I finally ended up getting one.  The ebay guy ended up refunding the money to about a dozen people because he was getting them through Clam Corp and they are out.  The guy that I thought had one... turned out he had a Yukon cover.  Somone mentioned Gander Mountain in Joliet, IL.  I called and they had 4 in stock so I placed a phone order and 2 days later it was at my door.  I couldn't even begin to guess who,if anyone, would have one this late.

My buddy cant find one for his Guide either, here in MI. What I can tell you, They are nice to have and well worth the money. I got one for my Yukon and always have it on my shanty while being pulled 6 miles across the lake many times at 40 mph and it has NEVER come off. Hate to add salt in your wound. Good luck.
"Oh honey don't worry ice fishing season is almost over"     Oh Yeah, then we got steelhead, then bass, then big lake salmon, then fall river salmon........etc.

No guarantee they are still available but I got an email from someone else that said:

This just in... regarding the Fish Trap Guide Cover part #8792.

As of the moment I write this, Gander Mountain Waukesha, WI has 1, Germantown, WI has 2, and Wausau, WI has 2. They will ship it to you for like $6.

That was at 10:30am 2/18/08

Good luck.
