jack trap reels

my reels seem to make a "tunk-tunk" noise every rotation. does any body elses do this. my brother ha 3" reels and his doesnt really seem to do it as bad? wats up!? more grease? it spins smooth and stuff but it is kind of irritating

All you have to do is regrease them. Its lithium grease they use. I greased mine a couple of weeks ago they are nice and smooth again.

yea i greased mine in jan. i found it odd that they need to be done again. do yuou have the 4" reels? i know the 3" dont do it hardly at all if any at all.

I have the 3 inch spools. They do it as well when they get real dry. Just repack them and they are like new again.
