Croppie fishing was slow tonight, they didn't start biting until around 6:30, Lots of pike, 2 on the tip up within 20 min, one on Croppie jig, and 2 broke of with minnows and Jigs.  My buddy says he seen a pike through the hole that was at least 3 ft.  He wants to bring his spearing shanty over now.  Once the pike moved on the bite started.  All that was working was a small stinger in the back of the perch minnows.  Caught 4 lost 4 at the hole.   good luck all.

Looks like I'll be taking this weekend off (  :( ) ... still digging out from the last storm. Somehow this routine of one or two major storms a week just isn't seeming to be very funny any more! I thank God for the persistent cold keeping us in good ice though!
I'll be back here to slam some perch out here next weekend. Not sure where I'll hit for a mid-week fix yet.
