I just bought a fl-8 an love it , I bought it for 200 new...guy got it for a gift an never used it  ,..it doesn't what brand it is ,but any flasher brings a whole new world of jiggin while your waitin for flags

I got the Marcum VX1 two weeks ago and Its all you need....Plus its cheaper than the vex and it has Zoom feature the Vex doesnt unless you want to pay $100 more than the Marcum.

I have had my Marcum two years now and its still working fine and I love the thing.

Out of those 2, I would get the VX-1 for the bottom zoom feature. They are both very comparable other than the Marcum gives you the zoom mode.
I don't think you could go wrong with either one though.

Bought the marcum vx1 about a month ago. Haven't been able to use it yet as work, weather, ice and other things have not been cooperitive. But I can tell you I got it at Gander for 249 and got on the Marcum site and found a $ 30 mail in rebate. Total cost then,$219.

Plans made for Super bowl Sunday, looking foreward to using it, never used a flasher before.

I just ordered the marcum vx-1 from reeds, I havent recieved it yet but it should be here monday or tuesday so when im done with classes on monday I will be out on a lake somewhere using mine.

Got my VX1 about 10 days ago at a local sports shop for $229.  Have used it a couple times and love it.  Out fished my buddy 2 to 1 with it.  I don't know for sure but the perch seem to come to it.  Anyway some flashers can recieve interference from other nearby flashers.  The VX1 can tune this out and not affected.  I would do it again.  Tight lines

Been using my Marcum for the last few years and am very happy with it. When I first bought it it did not work correctly. I called Marcum and they sent me a new one no questions asked. The replacement has been flawless. Good service.
