Cold water keeps them dormant. They don't quite have the action they have during the summer.

What about the Berkley gulp leeches? I don't think they hibernate....

WHEN we used to get good numbers of jumbo perch through the ice around here, I'd use baby leeches all of the time. They are tough and you can catch a number of fish on one.
