Has anyone had luck in murky water with the glow jigs that you charge up with a flashlight or lantern.

Yes but they will glow brighter and longer with a jig tazer flash or you can even use a camera flash.

I have a flourescent lamp that runs on 4 D-cells, that I got for about $10 at WalMart.  I dangle my glow jigs in front of it for 5sec, & I think they're lit as well as with my Tazer, but with a lot less hassle.

glow jigs seem to be about the only way to go for me... in just about any water. and yes, you do have to recharge them one way or another..... i always use the tazer type recharger. its quick and easy. i keep it right on a spring retracting string line type of thing on my belt so its quick and easy, i always know where its at..... and guess what.... it never drops down the hole..... but then again.... we dont do that .... do we??   :o

I am definately going to try some glow jigs this year. The lindy - little joe and custom jigs and spins along with others have a good selection of glow colors and tazers. I think they will be great for twighlight bite crappies.

I have very good luck with Custom Jigs and Spins Rat Finkee and the Genz Fatboy. The Rat Finkee works great for crappies, especially the white glower #10. The Genz fatboys I just started using at the end of last season. Seemed to work really well for bluegills. The fat boy shows really well on my vexilar, and has a better feel than the rat finkee. Definately two lures that I prefer to use, and at the same time, they glow in the dark.....
Play 'em if you wanna fillet 'em!

Use glow during day and night. They are the best all season long I believe

I use "maynards jigs", hes a small company out of Minnesota, and doesn't dilute his paint, like alot of companys do and he also adds glass crystals to his paint so they give a super glow and last longer depending on what you are charging with odviously, I swear by them.My lure lightning sets them on fire  ;D
