hey i am new to this site but was wondering if you guys ever try to get all the Illinois guys together and have a fishing outing some where eather in ill or wis to get to know each outher it never hurts to meet fellow fisherman from Illinois :laugh:

That sounds like a great idea.  IL members post less but i'm sure they fish as much if not more than those members from other states.  ;D

That sounds like a good idea. Would have to find a central location to please most of the fisherman.

1 idea would be to attend the Walk on Water event. See the thread for details. Lots of guyz there are readers and posters of this site. Everything will already be set up, just show up and enjoy.

 I'll be at Walk On Water too. Its a great time if you can make it ,it is worth the trip alot of good people and some great prizes that are donated for the raffle. Jackpine I'll see you there for sure, are you planning on going to the chitown event? I'm going to hit that and Clf's this year. Pat

I wouldn't mind meeting other IL ice fishermen. I don't venture too far from home, though. I am also a member of the North American Fishing Club and tried to get members to meet for a day of ice fishing. Not a whole lot of interest. I think I had like 4 responses. I had a Jan 19th date set, but with this weather I think I am going to have to cancel it.  Unless I can get some ice made and FAST. One small pond here is already completely open water.

jbird if nothing else we should try to get the ones from more western il together somewhere.  I know that my bro, tbirdbassr,  would probably do it.  Maybe we could get some of them from the quad cities and maybe a little south to join in.  We would just have to figure out where to hold it once we get good ice again.
