Sunshine Derby Meeteetse by LT

The ice at sunshine will be OK for the derby but the edges were a little thin in places last Sat. The fishing was GOOD Saturday for some and not so good for guys 50 Yards away. Your choice of bait made a big difference.

Is anyone planning to go?

Here is a hint.  Some of us had very good luck using cocktail size shrimp from the frozen food department.  The best I saw was a guy jigging a Thomas spoon though.

As some of you know, my ice fishing is done again for the year.  I will be spending the next 7 weeks with my wife as she undergoes radiation treatment for cancer.

With the amount of people heading to Upper, Lower is where your going to find me away from the crowd.   Might find a 5 lb splake instead.   

Fishing derby sounds fun, but the fish in that lake rairly seem to bust 22" could be some intresting results.
