lakes region..wickwas,etc.......
« on: Dec 06, 2007, 03:41 PM »
anybody have anything.......there has to be ice everywhere right now that ranges in the 3 to 4 inch range.  :o
when chuck norris played golf for money, chuck marked down a hole in zero every time, the golf pro said, "chuck: you can't score zero on a hole." Chuck norris turned towards the man and said, "I'm chuck norris, the man proceeded to pour gas over his body and set himself on fire because that would be less painful than getting roundhouse kicked by chuck norris....chuck norris roundhouse kicked him in the face anyways

Looks can be decieving!  Be careful while checking ice this year.  The Snow didnt help.  Makes it harder to check the ice!  Its lookin like a nice early ice season!   Good thing they didnt pass that icefishing rule for no fishing before jan 1st!   Boy was that a flop!

most of ponds down towards kingston and newton do not have snow on them, but just a few drifts. i am extremely careful and nervous. i always venture out early with caution and with friends. i will leave the old lady home this weekend and just venture out with a few buddies. the old lady needs a solid 6 to 8 before she heads  out........even though she weighs half of what i weigh. i will continue to do my best when  it comes to reporting in the next few days

My buddy up north (Meridith) says to be careful, the snow is disguising the weak areas where the ice can change from one thickness to another. That being said there are people fishing Wickwas, Pemi and possibly Mirror lake in Campton. I'd bet by the weekend most any of the "smaller" bodies of water would be safe up that way.
Another week for the waters in the southern end of the state. (my opinion only)

As far as I am concerned Greenwood has the best crappie fishing for quality and bellamy for quanity. I seem to catch a big buzz on both bodies of water however.

Webster always has houses on it early.  Usualy a few small ones right along the beach.   Ive never really fished it but its supposed to be a pretty good brown spot!
