I've been considering a perch trip up that way, but haven't seen any current postings pertaining to Devils Lake. Is the lake still getting bigger? From what I've been seeing, it looks like the perch have been........

Yes Devils Lake continues to grow. Perch are as jumbo as ever, walleye fishing is unbelieveable!

I saw an item on a national news program a few years ago about a guy who built a fancy house near the lakeshore and had to have his house moved---TWICE!

A few people with houses next to the lake had to build new roads to get to the houses this summer first few times i was up this summer could use there original roads next time i went up had new roads. Can remember a farmstead from about five years ago thats now a mile offshore in 25 ft of water heard they took the house off after freeze up!

Good ice on the lake even on the main bays. Its been good fishing up there so far this winter. Havent been up there myself since freeze up but going up friday morning. Any structure you can find always hold fish during winter there. Its a big lake dont get overwhelmed, if your not catching anything just move and you will eventually find them. Early morning and late afternoon seem to be best for walleyes if thats what your looking for ask around someone will point you in the right direction.
