Nice day on Lake Buel
« on: Mar 01, 2007, 06:57 PM »
Fished lake buel today with my father.  We had a very good day with about 40 fish iced.  Unfortunately we didn't get into the pike,(missed a couple) but we caught about 15 bass, 1 calico, 1 golden shiner, over 20 sunfish, and 5 or 6 pickerel.  About 15 inches of solid ice, which was fun to punch through with the hand auger.  Heres some pics of the day

Me with first fish and bass of the day

Average size of the Perch we were catching on both tip ups and jig rods

16 inch Bass

Bluegill

Another Perch

Golden Shiner

Another Bass

Havn't been over to that side of springfield...i'll swing by next week if i have time..heading to russell on sunday, then have a busy week where i most likely won't get to fish all week. >:(

Hopefully i'll be back out on the ice next weekend
