Findlay reservoirs
« on: Mar 02, 2007, 03:17 PM »
Just stopped by and checked both findlay reservoirs. No one fishing either of them..The old one (no.1) has a good deal of open water along the edges.Mainly the first three feet or so is open.I did NOT go out on it~but with planks you easily could in many places... The main body of ice looks fine there..
On res. no 2 (the big one) the ice was in far better shape. The only open water I saw was just north of the boat launch along the shore. And then just a small 10'X20' area....I walked out on it where the fishing dock normally sets and drilled three holes...All had over ten inches of pretty good ice.....It should be fine to fish this weekend IF your careful going out...As always the shorelines are the treacherous part.......I did not fish but may tomorrow......Peshewa
