Very nice fish hellsangler and it looks like a very sweet place to fish.  8)
Where were you fishing and how much ice were you on?
We here in upstate NY are just getting safe ice and I'm behind in my hardwater angling.

Very NICE! I just caught a mess of them also, BUT not that big...The ones we have here are stocked and only 12 to 13 inches at the best..

This is the famous Strawberry Reservoir in Utah and the ice was about 5" . Last year someone pulled a 17# bow out of there thru a 8"hole . Most of the time you catch cutthroat trout and some days you can catch 50+ cutts a day there .

Great looking rainbows, They look like they put a fight.
The nameless men who nameless rivers travel,
And in strange valleys greet strange deaths alone;
The grim, intrepid ones who would unravel
The mysteries that shroud the Polar Zone.

nice fish- that's definitely a nice, silver, lake-run cutty; are they native there? they look different a little bit from the ones we have here.

They stock the Bear Lake Strain of cutt in Strawberry , which is native to Utah just not that water . It helps to keep the rough fish in check . Once they get about 20" they start getting fatter . All cutts 15" to 22" must be released at Strawberry . They have Kokes too there I love to catch .

Actually , I caught the spawner's casting from shore with different jigs . Chartreuse was the hot color this day and the pics I took of myself so some don't turn out to great . Hot pink can be good color , just jig hard and it will get them to hit . Trolling is best for when they are silver or as some of the locals call them "silver dollars " . I have only caught them on jigs when they spawn and are close to shore . I have not had much success thru the ice for them but they can be good action if you get over them . Just have to find them .

I catch the kokes on a round jighead with a half a mid size shrimp fed on it. works pretty good
