Couture Traps

Anyone remember these? Mr. Couture had a bait & tackle shop on Rt 109 about 2 miles from Springvale. I think in the 80's.I bought 10 of his traps for about 60$. They still are great. Black traps. Wish i had bought more. The price of good traps now is crazy.

up sure do use to swap him bait for the traps do you remember Mr bodwell the man that started that store now there was a sportsmen good to us kids to wed go in by half dozen tommy cods and he'd give us 2 dozen and say if your fishing your staying out of trouble if you didn't have a gun to go deer hunting with he'd rent you one if you couldn't afford the rent Head lend it to ya dint know how he stayed in bisness tell where to fish and how to catch them anyone who new him will remember him he did more then his share to put kids on to hunting and fishing ya Mr bodwell was a good man

Yes i remember him too. Very nice olde gentlemen. I think he kept his bait in a old bath tub too. How things have changed. Im glad i can still remember.

I remember both of these gentlemen. Old mr Bodwell, built the black traps for me in the mid 70'S. After
he passed Mr Couture continued the practice, and ran a fine bait shop. He could sharpen my auger
better than anyone I have ever met.
