Hope I'm Not The Dumbest One On IceShanty...but what is LOL?

Everyone.... but me seems to use lol. First I thought it meant lots of luck, but that doesn't make sense when I read some of the posts.

Any other abreviations I should know?  :wacko:

It can mean "laughing out loud", or in my case...it means LittleOldLady

I thought it was "Lick ol' Lucy"....at least that's what my buddies had me thinking.  Everytime they outfish me they say....well, "LOL" and make me lick the camp dog Lucy! :-\

LOL translate to lots of laughs - or lots of love - however the former lots of laughs probably get 95% of the LOL meaning.  The writer of the message thinks what ever has been written - is funny. lol :)
