January 10 of last year ,four friends and I took a three day tip to Houghton. Had a blast but we only caught a couple pike and a lot of small perch. This year I was wanting to try the Martiny chain in Febuary. I have never fished it and was wandering if any of you have? There is a cabin on Tubbs, I was thinking about renting, or should I try Haymarsh or Chippewa. Do these lakes freeze as well as Houghton? This year has really been a bummer, I'm itching to get out. If anyone has any info on this chain it would be appreciated! Thanks, I know we are all anxios to get out there but just be safe!
