Check this out...scroll down and there's a bunch of info about the "ice bridges" of Niagra Falls.  Those people are crazy out there... :o

Nice post, that was a cool read. I'm from Buffalo/Niagara and never heard of the ice bridges. As soon as I see some skim ice I'm goin for it!!!!!
