I was sitting on a beach (Myrtle) two weeks ago with my family enjoying a nice beverage and I could not stop thinking about sitting on bucket jigging for some pannies.  Ate some fresh caught local fare down there too, but I'd take a pile of crappie, gill, or perch from the frozen pond over it any day.
If only God would come down in the form of a man and explain everything to us.

Those frosty mornings and ice fishing trips sure beat sweating in the summer sun!

Starting to get the itch for ice once again. It's funny...I was ready to be done with ice fishing when last February rolled around with all the snow we got in the Upper Midwest over the course of the winter. I pretty much walk all the time onto the lakes to fish, so the deep snowpack always was a good workout and felt exhausted once I was able to get to my spot, even if it was just a half mile out...haha. Here's to less snow this winter and good ice!
