Any other members head out on the ice in SE CT today? If so, where did you fish and what did you find for ice? The last couple days made things a little sketchy around here and now we have more snow coming....We bought our bait today from Hope Valley Bait and Tackle and headed over to Beach Pond early. The small part of the lake we hoped to fish was already packed by 7:30 so we went to a spot on the S end. The ice was only good for maybe 150yds from shore with 2-3” good ice with another 2” of white on top. Past that it was to sketchy for us. After 3 hours with no action we decided to move to another spot. We setup on a small pond in Pachaug State Forest which had 6-7” of good ice everywhere we drilled. We spent the afternoon catching a number of pickerel to 16” and a few decent bass too. Overall I would say we had a decent day!
Any one want to report on Pachaug? I saw a few groups out there today but decided to pass as I didn’t setup for pike.
