Well now that its here the ice ranges from 0" to about 11"s ..
All inlets and outlets are not good..
Unless you are on the snowmobile trails its pretty sloppy ...

I take it you’re not familiar with this area of the ADKs, there’s only one road to get to the north end of the lake and it starts in the town of long lake. A little research shows where the access points are.. https://www.adirondackexperience.com/paddling/raquette-lake

I do not believe there is public access safe enough for a snowmobile at the north end of the lake. There is a public parking area at the outlet between Raquette and Forked lake but as Dacker has said, the outlets and inlets are in poor condition and I would advise against it.

Nearly all public access that allows truck/trailer parking is at the south end via town launch, Burke’s marina (private marina), or golden beach campground.

I like fishing the north end at least once or twice a year. there is a snowmobile trail that cuts down to the lake from north point rd. Id say its ~.5 mile down to the lake. I have trailered there before and parked just past the sled trail along the side of the road. I havent had an issue with tickets or anything and i know ive seen a ranger drive by before so should be ok to park there. North point road is a snowmobile connector trail to long lake and is pretty popular once the trails are good, which is why ill go past the trail to park. Gotta give those sleds as much space as possible. I have walked the trail too without issue, although it is a little labor-intensive on the drag back. i like fishing around bleecher island and id say the drag takes me 25-30 minutes or so to get there from the road.
