How is the ice on monkton pond?

6” of black with a lil white on top. Was about an inch of snow on top yesterday. Don’t know how it will hold up after this warm and rainy forecast.

Was there Sunday afternoon, about a half dozen cars parked at the access,  Catch seemed to be mostly Northern Pike in 4-6 lb. range.  Ice seemed safe but sloppy.

yeah safe to walk on for sure.  pike and largemouth bite non stop for the first hour then shut off.

Doubt much has changed other than a foot of snow on top. I have gone and had the access road not been plowed so I tend to not go right after a big snow. Good luck if you get out
