A little wet but Great day with Jr

Actually ALOT wet. What a soggy mess out there today.
But I finally got my boy back out with me today (winter sports being done for the season...thank God...lol). As the rain came down predawn, I asked him early this morning if he still wanted to go. His response was "we don't let no rain keep us down" lol
It's tough taking kids out in this crap but  boy what a trooper.
We stayed closer to home and the bite was just ok today, figured with the front it would be better. I think Jibbs cleaned this place out yesterday ;D.
 Didn't matter, the boy did far better than his old man today. I love it.
Even had some downtime to catch up on our card games and some good eats.
These days seem to get fewer as they get older, but I'll take it as long as I can.
Wouldn't miss it for the world...rain, wind, whatever.
Kudos to those others that got out and got soggy today!

Gotta love it when you get out fished by jr, mine did that to me a few trips ago. Looks like you guys had a great time.

I bet it was cruddy out there..we ended up with 30 maybe but small..I’m sure the place looks like Swiss cheese..we had 39 traps yesterday ..lol

We dont fear no stinking rain. Love it. Nice report. My oldest enjoys fishing . Youngest not so much. Great report. Hopefully he will want to go more as time goes on.

He's been coming with me since he was in a car seat in the jet sled.
I'm fearing it's going the other way now. It happens, there's so much going on as a kid gets closer to teen years.
I just have to be grateful for the Now.

Ice conditions were actually great. Didn't soften up too much with the rain.
And yes, swiss cheese over in "your" area. We hit the area off the marker.
No big numbers but Jackson got a nice one just under 4 lbs.

My oldest, now in college, went through the same thing...kinda lost interest when he 14 ...but every chance he can now, he’ll hit the ice with me.,, the youngest will only go if my wife and oldest go..
