Got out today

Nice amount of ice and the wind and temps were good.  Ice was about 4 black and  3 white and very loud.  Only one other party on the pond and they got at least one nice Trout.

Where was this . . . at least generically - - e.g. North Shore, Central Mass, Pioneer Valley - - and what did the other party catch the trout on (e.g., a jig or a tip up, and what sort of bait, etc)?

Eastern Central Mass along route 2.  The other guys were using small shiners and worms shallow over deep water.

Pioneer valley has plenty of ice on the smaller lakes. 11"-12" yesterday with 3" of solid black followed by 8" of whitish ice and an inch or so of white. Me and 2 buddies out all day with only 2 trout but countless pickerel and perch.
