Front Range Walleye
« on: Dec 28, 2018, 08:20 PM »
Fished from 10am to about an hour after dark.  Caught 10 or so short walleye, a couple almost 15”.  One nice bluegill.  Ice was good.  Had some good company.

Yea, one could have been right at 15 but not worth a ticket.  Most were 12-14”

Was just looking at starvation lake in western utah about 4hrs from me.  They are encouraging all anglers to harvest their limit (10) of sub 15" walleye, the 4hr drive might be worth an over night trip if i can keep 10 of any size wally!

It was a good day out there with ya.  I’d like to see how that spot is before/around dawn. Did the gill come from the same spot?

Correct, they were caught in lonetree, same as bigassbassman’s perch.  Pulling them all off some submerged trees we found.  Out here now.  Come on out.

I fished Boyd from 1972 to 1977 and I noticed the Walleye haven't grown any.  ;D ;)

Nice fish!
The whole south end of Chatty is capped. Getting on it will be the challenge with all of the construction going on.

Check out my report in the report section for CO guys.  5" of ice on the South end of Chatty yesterday.  Jamison is the only parking lot open on the West side of the park to access the South end of the lake. Be prepared to walk.  :-\

Why not the Crack?  Central location we might even catch something decent!

That could work!  How about soonish?  Maybe this coming Saturday the 5th?  Or I guess we could push it out a bit and hope that the ice stays around.  I’ll put it to a vote on the other thread.
