« on: Nov 27, 2018, 04:13 PM »
Anyone have experience with one of these units? I'm looking to get into the flasher/ fish finder already have a aqua view camera but looking to be super portable this season. Be able to run and gun. I can get one brand new for $140.

Thoughts concerns? Reviews?

Good feed from Maine page... I use mine open and hardwater and love it.
Perhaps I should not have been a fisherman, he thought. But that was the thing that I was born for.

<---- I like mine just fine.  If you search Garmin Striker 4 On Ice on youtube I've got some videos of it in action on my channel.
I'm a man, but I can change, If I have to, I guess.

I have one, been using it for 2 years, going on the 3rd year. Use mine in the boat and ice. I like the dual beam view the best, even for ice fishing. The unit isn't the best, not the most reliable I have reboot mine sometimes, it just stops responding.

I think it works better on ice when the unit is left over a hole vs moving around in a boat. It tends to freeze up or not register anything when trolling my boat.

I know I catch more fish because of mine for sure. I use to get depth when setting up tipups and bait depths. Sometimes I will see a fish take the shiner and watch the flag pop up as I am setting it up, good stuff.

Bottom line for the price and how it works its a good unit, if you can spend more money get a nicer one.

Wound up getting a good line on a Lowrance elite 4x chirp ice machine. $80 :-) could not pass it up given I have already been over budget with going Handheld drill electric auger this season.

Anyone have experience with this unit? Have heard good things about it once you figure out all the settings.
