I am finally getting around to putting my other xt lodge together. ( Had it since December) anyone with experience with this would you do anything different, or modify it in any way? Thanks in advance!

If you don’t have a hyfax get it and put it on first. I put mine on the second season I had it, major pain in the a@$. Mine was the Xt 650 so I don’t know if they changed the hardware between the models but I would definitely be careful when putting the screws in, I over did it on a few. I put elictrical tape around all of the screws so they didn’t work their way out. A shelf or clips of some sort would be great for the wind bars. Those are the main things I wish I would have done anyway. I did have a clam battery bracket on mine as well but decided to make a battery box with a 12v outlet and a couple usb’s For charging phones.

Iceaddict, any tips you remember that might help with putting hyfax  on a shack that's been assembled already?

take your canvas right off, it takes like 2-3 minutes to do. I just took mine off earlier this week to have some repairs doen to the canvas, it was very easy to take off/put back on. I put my runners on my otter after the shelter was assembled as well, and it took way longer to do having the canvas on.

I made a lift system for mine to store it in my garage rafters, used that to lift it and had my wife help me zip the hardware on. Heat gun or buddy heater to heat up the runners to make them a bit more pliable.
