Tunk Lake -- anyone know ice conditions??

We are going to head that way tomorrow morning, if we find fishable ice then we plan on fishing there, but if not we are going to spring river lake to fish for browns...

any help would be great!

Little late but............north end from the boat landing around gull rock to rainbow brook is all 6 - 8" i have caught several 4 lbrs there already!! Go around the other side of gull rock and take 50 paces off shore and start setting parallell to the shore line you should limit!!

PS- spring river is junk this year nothing but small salmon 12-16" ...........The narrows is open B carefull!!

Thanks, we didnt fish the area you mentioned, but we did fish it...we witnessed no less than 8 inches as far as we went out.  We were out in the snowstorm the other day...we set up in 60-70 FOW and I limited out, my buddy didnt do so well, but thats another story.   The togue were small though...biggest was 19"

nope.......was at mopang last week and there was plenty 8"+ everywhere

Last time I went to Alligator was about 4 weeks ago and it had 10-12" back then.  Had been having consistent action with the salmon, only you had to catch a dozen perch before you'd get one.  Most people were fishing the shore near the IP launch, but I always do better on the other side past the shallows.
