Hows the Snow effecting local waters?

Hey everyone with some early ice out there and a number of bodies of water still trying to freeze up, how is your local water doing with the recent snow? with some places thin dangerous ice may now be slowed down and open water should have a significant temperature drop due to the snow falling into the water. This will be a good and a bad thing I imagine depending on the lake or pond. Let us know how snow is effecting your local waters!

Good effect for my local water of Lake George.
It is supposed to be cold and windy next few days though, maybe what has fallen will all blow off the already-frozen waters.

Yup you nailed it, good and bad. The smaller places I was hoping to get out on this weekend probably won't be good now. The snow is pushing down on my pond ice now, flooding underneath the snow.

Little bit of both in wny. Cooling down the big water but hurting the small ponds bad. 2ft of snow on 2 inches of ice. Last year all over again.

NEPA we only have 2 inches, not helping us too much. small ponds were JUST starting to be capped then the snow pushed water onto the ice. looks like we still have a couple weeks down here.

Surface temp on Saratoga was 39 Sunday night and won't take much more for the creek and launch area to freeze. Probably was the last trip of the year with the Lund except maybe George
